- Ideal for teachers/coaches who may not be up-to-date in their Lifesaving skills
- No long distance swims or timed swims
- Suitable for those in a programmed swimming environment

- An add-on qualification for Pool Lifeguards
- Recognised by the Special Olympics Committee for the 2003 Games in Dublin
- A necessity for those supervising Special Needs sessions in pools and Leisure Centres
